Art has always been more of a passion than just a hobby for me.
Though I live and work in Dubai, I hail from India, a land of a myriad colors, different traditions and people. There is diversity in every aspect of life back home. Most of my inspiration comes from my life experiences and sometimes just simple things that form part of our daily lives.
I am a self taught artist who believes that art can never have boundaries since for me it is a tangible expression of my musings, thoughts and imaginations. I have never had any formal training in art and yet for me the canvas is not the limit!! Concepts for new creations can spring from anywhere for me- a conversation, a picture, a dream or just a sudden brain wave.
My artwork is predominantly contemporary with a lot of colors and line drawings. Every source of color can be incorporated in a piece of art. I mainly use acrylics, permanent markers and glass liners but have also made use of wax crayons, charcoal, color pencils and glass paints on canvas, paper and boards which give wonderful textures.
To put it simply, I love spending my time painting, drawing, coloring or just doodling and I know for a fact that I would never get tired of this activity.
Art has always fascinated me from a young age. I have participated in many a competition since my school days but have only started translating my work on canvas since 2010 and it is my greatest wish to get recognized and noticed for my work.
To me art will always be a thing of beauty, something that will captivate its beholder no matter how many times they are in its presence.
